Customers Using Microsoft Outlook Express

E-MAIL ACCOUNT SET-UP

When you check your mail it keeps downloading the same messages then it times out.

You have a large e-mail waiting for you. To remove the offending email, login trhough our webmail service at http://www.hurontel.on.ca/webmail OR increase your server timeouts to allow more time to download the email.

INCREASE SERVER TIMOUTS

Are you getting a lot of unsolicited commercial mail? Do you want to have spam delivered to a separate folder? Create a MAIL RULE to separate wanted from unwanted mail.

CREATING A MAIL RULE

I'm not being prompted to connect in Outlook Express.

Go to Tools>Options>GENERAL tab - make sure that it's set to "connect only when not working offline".

When I try to open an attachment in a message, I get an error saying "Outlook Express has removed access.."

Outlook Express includes a feature to prevent opening attachments that could possibly have a virus in them. This includes any program files, or documents that can contain scripts. This feature can be turned off by going into Outlook Express and clicking on the tools menu. Select OPTIONS and click on the SECURITY tab at the top. Remove the checkmark next to "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened.."

Outlook Express is not remembering my password(Windows 2000/XP).
